The July 2025 issue of Journal of Personal Cyberconsciousness will focus on the topic of expansion of civilization into outer space during the age of artificial intelligence (AI). Until April 1, the editors encourage potential authors to submit outlines of articles they would be prepared to write, for discussion of suitability of the topic and methodology.
A key policy question at the present time is whether exploration of our solar system by human astronauts should continue or be paused while AI probes and robot landers perform that function efficiently and extensively, so humanity can understand what its realistic options actually are.
Each article should have a distinctive focus that the author is prepared to develop, combining rigorous theory with reliable data, to both inspire and inform the readers.
Given the theme of Journal of Personal Cyberconsciousness, the interaction between human minds and artificial intelligences should be featured, but authors may differ in their predictions of how the two will relate as civilization expands out into the universe, and which period of future history they consider.
